About

A gutter firm that sends you the pictures

Clearrun started in 2014 with one ladder, one van and a lot of leaves. 12 years and 9,400 houses later we are four people, two vans and a yard on the north side of Lincoln, and we still answer the phone ourselves.

Why the photo report

Gutter cleaning has a reputation problem. You cannot see your gutters from the ground, so you cannot tell whether the person who came round cleared them, glanced in them, or did neither. We started taking before and after photos of every run in our second year so that nobody ever had to take our word for it.

The report also turned out to be the most useful thing we do. It shows you the cracked joint, the sagging bracket and the bird's nest in the downpipe long before any of them becomes a damp patch indoors.

Why from the ground

Most gutter falls happen on ladders, and most gutter damage happens when a ladder leans on a plastic run. Working with poles and a vacuum keeps our crew on the ground and your gutters in one piece. We still carry ladders, and we still use them, but only when a job needs hands rather than suction.

Insured, registered, and careful with birds

We carry public liability cover for working at height on homes, and a copy of the certificate goes out with every booking. We never disturb an active nest: if we find one, we photograph it and come back after the young have flown.
